Recruitment & Retention Officer

Our client is an established and growing engineering business based in Daventry. Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting a Recruitment & Retention Officer. This is a brand new position to provide operational support and recruitment expertise to sites throughout the UK, for mainly contract and permanent recruitment needs. The successful candidate will be seen as the go to for all recruitment needs and staffing issues. Recruitment & Retention Officer Accountabilities Being responsible for ALL our clients recruitment requirements. Providing operational support to Managers/Directors throughout the business. Providing recruitment guidance and advice throughout the recruitment process, including but not limited to; candidate selection, interview techniques, salary benchmarking etc. Research and identify suitable career fairs, giving our client the opportunity to promote their business. Attending career fairs and championing our clients business Develop and maintain the apprenticeship programme to attract top talent. Updating/creating job descriptions and vacancy adverts that match the needs of the business. Effectively uploading adverts to the Indeed platform and managing candidate application process. Resourcing and shortlisting candidates via Indeed, identifying candidates for current and future career opportunities, with a focus on retention of candidates and creating an effective talent pool for the business. Attending F2F/Teams interviews with Managers/Directors as the Recruitment representative. Work closely with PSL of recruiters to develop strong working relationships, providing clear requirements and ensure PSL are meeting the needs of the business. Manage all administration from arrangement of interviews through to formalisation of offer details and new starter packs. Recruitment & Retention Officer Skills & Experience An experienced Recruiter who is confident providing advice, support and guidance to operational team. Experienced resourcing candidates, through advertising and searching online job boards. Experienced identify and attending career fairs. Experienced in developing and/or managing an apprenticeship programme. Recruitment & Retention Officer position is offering £23,000 - £28,000 basic salary plus benefits for the successful candidate. All successful candidates will be contacted within 5 days of application, allowing for Christmas shutdown.
