AML & Compliance Risk Officer

We are looking for an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Compliance Risk Officer to join our client based in Cheshire. Responsibilities will include: Assist to ensure that systems and controls meet or exceed the required regulatory standards in respect of Data protection and information security. Assist to ensure the Business Continuity plan is up to date, meeting or exceeding regulatory standards and is fit for purpose. Act as a key point of contact on AML and Compliance issues. Draft reports to the senior management of the firm relating to the effectiveness of AML and Compliance procedures. Help arrange, administer and ensure that all staff have appropriate training in relation to AML and Compliance. Work with each department and the various business units to provide support, advice and guidance on appropriate compliance framework, policies and procedures, which will facilitate the business in identifying, assessing and managing AML and Compliance risk within the business, meeting the standards set and regulatory requirements. Ensure all compliance principles, policies and procedures are clearly defined and regulatory developments are proactively communicated; Produce statistics/research and briefing material and prepare business papers/correspondence. Skills & experience required: Someone with knowledge of legislation and regulation surrounding financial services and financial crime, and a commitment to develop within the role; Understanding of all regulations that impact the business; Excellent communication skills both written (including report writing) and verbal; Meticulous and a good team player and able to work on own initiative; Problem solving and excellent analytical skills are essential and you will be a resilient individual who is calm under pressure; Good numeracy and analytical ability. Ability to build relationships effectively, both in the immediate team and wider business; Ability to undertake a variety of analysis and maintain accuracy and quality.
