Kickstart - Trainee General Operative

Package Description KICKSTART ROLE - PLEASE ONLY APPLY TO THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE BEEN REFERRED BY A JOBCENTRE WORK COACH AND/OR YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THE KICKSTART SCHEME. Pay rate: £8.91ph with the opportunity to increase your pay rate to £9.50ph(Ex London) or £10.85ph(London) on completion of 6 weeks employment. Training: During your placement you will participate in a structured training programme covering employability and job related training. You will be supported by a dedicated mentor who will be able to give your career advice and guidance and you will also work towards employability skills including CV writing, interview preparation and looking for work. What you will be doing: Unloading, loading, processing and transporting various materials on site. Picking and segregating materials on site Grading and weighing incoming materials to ensure quality is maintained. Assisting customers and clients who come to the depot. Conducting regular checks on machinery and work areas, reporting any problems. Ensuring the company Health & Safety and environmental policies are strictly adhered to. Monitoring all visiting suppliers including PPE compliance. Assisting depot management as required. About you: Counterbalance experience would be an advantage but not essential The role involves outdoor working, full PPE will be provided Who we are?
