This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining outbound transportation business intelligence, data warehousing and reporting solutions. This individual will also create and maintain detailed business requirements, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for our business.

To be successful in the role, you need strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, ability to influence across business functions and manage stakeholders’ expectations effectively. You will work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment that requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable in working with multiple business and technical teams.
 

Though we are currently working remote due to Covid, this position will be based in the Northfield, IL headquarters once we return to the office. You will be required to work in the Northfield office 3 days per week, and can work from home or from the office the other 2 days. 


Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for business requirements gathering and proposing BI solutions.
  • Responsible for designing automated solutions for recurrent reporting (daily/weekly/monthly).
  • Publish, analyze and improve management information dashboards, operational business metrics decks and key performance indicators.
  • Create Complex Tableau Dashboard Development and security setup.
  • Write SQL Views and create Complex Joins and Nested loops for Tableau Data Source creations.
  • Use in-depth understanding of both data and visual sides of visualization to deliver high quality work products that delight end users
  • Responsible for developing complex SQLs and procedures in TIBCO data virtualization
  • Responsible for working closely with the offshore team and providing guidance and managing the development efforts
  • Responsible for setting best practices for the development team around the business functions
  • Responsible for translating business problems using data into visuals for better insights

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field; or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 7 years in consulting or similar analyst position implementing Tableau dashboards.

• Experience working in a Team Lead role is a plus.

• Experience driving operations process improvement, familiarity with 6 sigma / lean, green belt certification
• Proven experience in Tableau development.

• Skilled with data analysis, data visualization and reporting & analytics.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL for performing data analysis and performance tuning.

  Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with offshore teams and business partners.
• SAP native HANA modeling experience a plus.

• Business Objects experience a plus.

• WebFocus experience a plus.

• Ability to test and document end-to-end processes. 
• Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio) software

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and willingness to take initiative to contribute beyond basic responsibilities along with the ability to effectively present to the target audience.

• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team

• Demonstrated ability to oversee the technical execution of BI Projects
