Automotive Mechanical Engineer

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the development of the Remanufacturing process of Hybrid Batteries. The Engineering Manager will also be responsible for maintaining excellent customer service to internal and external customers always. We are seeking candidates who are extremely motivated and are excited about the opportunity to develop all operational processes and procedures. Excelling at this position you must be able to multitask, communicate well with others, have hands-on HV battery Remanufacturing experience with a knowledge of automobiles.This person needs to be very goal orientated and willing to work at a fast pace while maintaining the quality and accuracy set forth in the job expectations.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Responsible for the development of the Remanufacturing processing of Hybrid Batteries.
  • Lead the establishment of Remanufacturing processes for Hybrid HV battery systems
  • Develop Remanufacturing process by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying and testing Remanufacturing methods and equipment
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards and confirming remanufacturing processes
  • Develop EMC test plans to ensure products will be compliant with all applicable standards and regulations
  • Diagnose root cause of EMC compliance issues and propose mitigation actions
  • Develop guidelines to ensure EMC performance in future designs.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of system level functional safety requirements of HV batteries
  • Lead project feasibility studies and benchmarking
  • Lead the development of Remanufacturing efficiencies by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements and equipment layout
  • Develops initial work instructions
  • Leads the development and management of BOM’s and Part Number development
  • Lead system level troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Support the development of BMS (Battery Management Solutions) functional requirements
  • Other job duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • BS or MS in Engineering​
  • More than 3 years’ experience in HV battery systems and Li-Ion batteries, with knowledge of HV battery architecture, performance, health and safety
  • Experience with electrochemical performance testing of Li-Ion cells
  • Experience with C-Language and LabView
  • Background in Automotive system and component engineering


  • Knowledge of electric and hybrid vehicle powertrain the interface between systems/components
  • Ability to translate vehicle system requirements to the battery system using an understanding of engineering principles and practices
  • Expert in reading and making product drawings & BOM’s
  • Excellent time management, project management, task organization and staff management skills and experience. 
  • Proven ability to organize people and tasks methodically while meeting project goals and deadlines
