Client Success Specialist, ERISA Compliance

The Client Success Specialist, ERISA Compliance is responsible for assisting employers, brokers and benefits professionals with the creation of customized ERISA plan documents and Forms 5500 for their employee health and welfare benefit plans.

The Client Success Specialist, ERISA Compliance assists employers and benefit professionals in the creation of customized ERISA wrap documents and Forms 5500 for their employee health and welfare benefit plans.  The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist employers in the creation, customization and quality review of comprehensive ERISA plan documents (including Summary Plan Descriptions)
  • Provide technical guidance and training for prospects and clients, referral partners and the PrimePay internal team as needed
  • Work directly with the HR & Benefits services sales team to manage and facilitate the sales process with employers.
  • Update and maintain employer and benefits plan information in multiple technology platforms to ensure accuracy
  • As appropriate, prepare 5500, DFVCP submissions, and Summary Annual Reports for employers using Relius and/or EFAST2 filing submission systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in health and welfare benefit compliance and familiarity with IRS and DOL rules, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA and HIPAA
  • Demonstrates very strong attention to detail
  • Manages multiple clients/assignments and has strong organizational skills
  • Ability to problem solve and set priorities, and to ask questions when needed.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines with accuracy
  • Works independently as well as with a team
  • Proactively interact directly with clients in a professional and pleasant manner

Education and Experience:

  • Two years of practical experience in employee benefits or employee benefit administration required
  • BA/BS degree required, paralegal or legal studies certification preferred
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft Access or another relational database is a strong plus
  • Experience with SunGard Relius or EFAST2 is a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus
