Production Assistant

Part-time job opportunity with primary responsibility of assisting in studio during live newscast and producing digital news content. Shift could include early morning, late evening, holiday and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Operator will make ready studio, microphones, lights, monitors, scripts, operate teleprompter, cue anchors and train on other aspects of production and Domingo Live.
  • Assist in enhancing the audience experience on digital, social media and streaming platforms by creating content around key digital drivers like weather, breaking news, sports, and politics that engages the audience.



    Requirements:
  • Must be dependable, have good communication skills and ability to perform quickly under deadlines.
  • Flexible availability is necessary as position involves working varying shifts in one-team concept including weekends, evenings, mornings and holidays.
  • Qualified candidates should have strong writing skills, solid news judgment, experience producing/editing content for digital platforms, along with a working knowledge of online CMS, video, and photo-editing software are a plus.
  • Long term interest in TV/media and completed or on-going education in the fields of television, broadcasting, communications and digital media a plus.

    Work Environment: Office

    Physical Demands: Medium work

    Travel: Rarely: less than 10%

    Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment

    Physical Demands Set: Medium work: Involves standing prolong hours, stooping, bending, lifting/pushing up to 25 lbs.
