  • The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance of Quality Assurance Documents in support of regulatory components in the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at MGUH. Including document preparation, staff instruction, and all systems to ensure compliance with all standards, regulations, and laws.

    * Reviews information entered into databases and assures the accuracy of data submitted to NMDP, CIBMTR and ASTCT.

    * Monitors staff regulatory compliance related to annual validations.

    * Develops and provides assessment tools for monitoring staff education compliance.

    * Meets with the program medical director and the Collection Facility Director and Nurse Managers to prepare, review, approve and implement Standard Operating Procedures.

    * Provides annual reports for insurance carriers and reviews all “Request For Information” requests from outside institutions.

    * Responsible for developing and maintaining the Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy Program’s Total Quality Management Plan.


    * Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Health Care Quality Improvement, Data Management, Legal studies or other relevant field.

    * Certification in regulatory affairs, data management, health care administration, and/orquality assurance.

    * Minimum of 3 years working in health care setting. Preferred experience in bone marrow or solid organ transplant or Oncology.

    * Training in QA/QI activities.

    * Extensive knowledge of chart review.
