Paint Line Operator - 1st Shift

Eaton’s Electrical Power Distribution Controls Division is currently seeking a Paint Line Operator on 1st shift to join our team. This position is based at our Arden, NC location.   

 

Position Overview:

The primary function of the Paint Line Operator is to perform operator maintenance tasks and collaborate with paint line personnel to achieve daily goals.

In this function you will:

  • Perform initial set-up for machine operation
  • Operate equipment/machinery to produce painted parts
  • Maintain inventory of supplies necessary to perform daily operations of paint line
  • Perform quality checks to ensure quality standards are met
  • Perform necessary operator maintenance on fabrication equipment
  • Provide on-the-job training  as needed
  • Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily
  • Flex to perform other responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D from an accredited institution
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Arden, NC facility will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Fabrication
  • Past experience with powder coat

 

Position Criteria:

  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
  • Proven history of safe work habits
  • Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with the team in a fast paced environment
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, machine-specific programs, etc.
  • Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends
