Construction Project Coordinator-Portland

SUMMARY

Reviews project proposal or plan with Project Manager to assist in determining time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phase of project.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

 

  • Manages assigned project objectives at direction of Project Manager or Operations.

 

  • Orders and manages project materials.

 

  • Plans and organizes assigned project resources.

 

  • Prepares project reports, work orders, purchase orders, RF info, memos & letters for management, client, or others.

 

  • Installs, retrieves and updates project documents.

 

  • Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.

 

  • Supervises punchlist at projects end.

 

  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Four year degree in a construction management, civil engineering or related degree from a college or university;
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

 

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • General knowledge and understanding of blue prints.
  • Proficiency in Micro Soft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
