Job Description:

The Competitive Intelligence Manager will serve as an integral part of the market intelligence team to design, execute, and deliver impactful, actionable insights that meet evolving client needs. This role will contribute to various aspects of the competitive research project process, including but not limited to: project scoping, development, data and insights collection, analysis, and report design, as well as participating in presentations.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Gathering data and competitor insights, or reviewing data/insights gathered from other market Intelligence team members as well as outsourced vendors.

  • Strategic analysis of competitive information identified via competitor websites, press releases, articles, videos, analyst reports, etc. to draw out relevant insights and implications.

  • Leveraging an automated competitive intelligence tool to gather relevant insights.

  • Development of research reports with key findings, and contributing to presentations of research results

  • Must have strong project management skills and be capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Must be capable of innovative thinking and have exceptional communication skills to participate in client conversations that lead to insightful interactions.

  • Must be extremely detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and have a strong client-service orientation.


  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum 3+ years of business experience in market research or competitor intelligence

  • Experience in B2B market intelligence preferred

  • Must have experience with secondary research techniques; experience working with automated CI data gathering systems is strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with primary research techniques preferred.

Market Development and Sales (MDS): MDS supports Crowe in achieving its growth objectives by developing and executing national and international programs to build brand awareness for Crowe; promoting Crowe's thought leadership and positioning its experts in the markets it serves in both marketing and media channels; implementing lead management programs through integrated marketing and communications; and enabling revenue generation through multiple sales channels. MDS is also responsible for new product development and the Firm’s Client Experience initiative.
