Account Executive - Entertainment Media Opportunity

Description: JS108Atlanta Global Jazz Radio is looking for electrifying and motivated sales professionals to develop and sell advertising and marketing campaigns to new and existing clients. The ideal candidate will be someone who can develop new client relationships through cold calling, networking, and referrals from existing clients. The candidate must have an innovative approach to client development and be a team player. This person should have an understanding of the target demographic and existing marketplace and be motivated to continually contact, develop and pursue clients.

Responsibilities include soliciting new business through prospecting and cold calling, managing and growing existing assigned accounts, identifying clients’ advertising needs and developing and presenting customized solutions to meet those needs. The individuals are also held accountable for achieving sales budgets and collecting on the accounts.

Summary of essential job functions

  • Contact prospective customers to sell radio time for broadcast contemporary jazz radio station.
  • Maintain account lists and solicit new business
  • Prepare promotional plans, sales literature, and advertising proposals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients by providing top quality service.
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems.
  • Communicate with other departments to assure quality service in placing orders and arranging promotional events.
  • Responsible for exceeding sales budget and collection of sold accounts.
  • Attend sales meetings, training sessions, etc.

Minimum requirements

  • The successful candidates must possess exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • They must be self-motivated, goal driven and creative, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • All sales account executives are expected to bring a positive attitude to the JS108Atlanta environment and be cheerful, cooperative and productive.

Qualifications: The successful candidates must possess exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills. They must be self-motivated, goal driven and creative, with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. You must be a “hunter.”

In addition, the right candidate must have:

  • High school graduate; college preferred
  • Prior experience in sales/marketing
  • Must have basic knowledge of MS office products
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, good driving record and insurance
  • All candidates must pass a drug screen/background test.

Required experience:
Minimally 1-year experience in sales/marketing, specifically in a broadcast radio station environment.
