Quality Assurance Analyst

CarOffer is an automotive software company looking to hire an IT Quality Assurance Analyst. The QA Analyst is expected to assist the Director of Project Management with identifying, documenting, and communicating defects, as well as coordinate with the Development team. In this role, the QA Analyst is expected to take full responsibility for assigned testing tasks.

To be a successful QA Analyst, you will need to be able to stay focused and maintain quality standards in a fast-paced environment, be able to adjust to priority changes with tight deadlines and be competent in using JIRA and Microsoft Office applications. You must also have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.


  • Manually execute test cases, analyze the results, and document findings.
  • Properly document QA test cases and processes.
  • Document test cases and defects in Jira.
  • Report bugs and errors to the development team.
  • Execute various types of testing (e.g. functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, etc.) on a variety of platforms (e.g. mobile, web, portal frameworks).
  • Perform software testing in all phases of the software lifecycle: design-develop-test-release-maintain.
  • Perform acceptance testing of features, changes and bug fixes to ensure delivered functionality meets expectations, requirements, and design intent.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that development of new features does not break existing functionality or introduce new bugs.
  • Understand high level concepts and use cases for manual testing.
  • Verify end-to-end scenarios.


  • Automotive experience a plus.
  • Jira experience a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience as a QA tester or similar role.
  • High-level understanding of software architecture, such as front-end, back-end, APIs, etc.
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of web development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to stay focused and maintain quality standards in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, ambiguity, and unexpected priority shifts.
  • Must have an aptitude for learning new concepts quickly.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel and Word.
  • Be able to work independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment with priority shifts.
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience prefer candidate to have a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science.
  • Must be resourceful with good analytical skills and be a good team player.
