About your Role in the Company:

The Quality Assurance Engineer performs diversified work including all duties and functions necessary to ensure product quality meets customer expectations. You will be expected to develop and enhance customer relations through the planning and direction of activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for processes, materials, and products.

The Quality Engineer reports to the Quality Engineering Supervisor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze problems to qualify issues both in a team and/or self-supporting environment.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions for problem.
  • Review and implement inspection methods to ensure product quality.
  • Direct quality improvement efforts using quality tools, i.e. 8D, 5 why, control charts, MSA, capability analysis, SIPOC, Fishbone, etc.
  • Work with customers and suppliers to resolve and prevent non-conformances.
  • Review engineering changes, evaluate quality impact, react to satisfy needs.
  • Supervisory duties directing hourly union inspectors in their daily job functions.
  • Utilizes computer/tablet to proficiently operate in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Perform internal ISO 9001:2015 quality system audits.
  • Participate on product development teams, APQP+ process.
  • Understand complex technical drawings and specifications to translate these into quality control plans and operating standards.


  • Bachelor of Science Engineering degree
  • Quality or engineering experience in a manufacturing facility
  • Knowledge/experience with machining processes
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for customer, supplier, or internal meetings
  • Six Sigma Green or Black belt certification, desired
  • CMM or IMM programming experience, desired

Skills, Knowledge, and other Requirements:

  • Valid USA Driver’s License for Travel Purposes.
  • Critical thinking and logic skills in a complex production environment.

  • Able to work with passion and energy, taking the initiative.
  • Ability to communicate well and work effectively with employees at all levels of the company and from different cultural backgrounds.
  • Broad and in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques, quality assurance, and technology.
  • Ability to use sound, prudent and independent judgement.
  • Experience in tight tolerance manufacturing and subsequent strong understanding of prints and GD&T.
  • Ability to write routine reports and professional correspondence
