CS/Sterile Processing Technician II


This role is an experienced technician in CS/Sterile Processing and has a variety of responsibilities which include: ensuring availability of implants and other surgical tools and equipment, the proper and effective sterilization of tools and instruments for the Hospital OR and satellite clinics, and proper sterilization and care of sensitive equipment and tools such as endoscopes. The incumbent(s) in this position are expected to be fully proficient within multiple areas within the Central Processing/Sterile Processing group and is expected to be able to rotate between the different functions within the department in which they are proficient as well as provide coverage as needed.

A high school diploma or GED is required. Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in Central Processing or Sterile Processing required, or five years of GI Tech with high level disinfecting and C.E.R. (IAHSCMM) or SGNA certification. CRCST certification expected after 12 months on the job.

Promotion to CS/SPD tech II will be based on business needs and will be decided upon by the SPD leadership team.
