Sr Project Manager, Network Synchronization (Full-Time Remote or Hybrid)

A role in Global Inventory Management (GIM) means applying your specialized and well-informed point of view to what we buy, from whom, how much and where it needs to go from there. You'll use the right combination of data and expertise to achieve the best possible product availability through proper inventory positioning. You'll also focus on the efficient transportation of product around the world, while ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and achieving the best possible product availability through proper inventory positioning. You'll not only establish and develop great relationships with our vendors to encourage on-time shipment and delivery to stores and ultimately guests, but you'll also analyze transportation supplier capabilities and contracts for maximum speed, reliability and cost effectiveness.

As the Project Lead of Network Synchronization, you will be responsible for steering and influencing GSCL led initiatives to make the appropriate inventory purchasing, arrival, and positioning decisions to support Target's network capabilities. You will collaborate with Sales & Operations Planning, Field Operations, Network Planning, and Inventory Management to manage short and long-term inventory planning & placement in support of network capabilities to ensure product flows end-to-end throughout our supply chain without constraint or disruption. In addition, you'll lead the evolution of Network Synchronization and how we continue to support Target's network health through Legacy and Modern capabilities, ensuring our routines and processes balance today's current landscape in addition to future requirements to meet the needs of our guest.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Leverage strong project management skills to scope, scale, analyze, and create sound solutions addressing root cause to Network Synchronization related initiatives and projects.
  • Play a role in leading the inbound, storage and outbound problem solving needed to support network capabilities.
  • Evolve the Network Synchronization operating routines, responsibilities, goals and reporting needs between S&OP, Network Planning, GIM, Field Operations, and GSCL.
  • Assist in delivering by site inbound and storage goals to ensure strong and efficient operations.
  • Define product/technology business case requirements to support the evolving Network Synchronization planning and execution needs.
  • Play an active role in developing a roadmap of operational intelligence needs to support end to end inbound, storage and outbound visibility and accuracy.


  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Prior Inventory Management experience preferred.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently to prioritize and take action.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to tailor communication to different audiences.
  • Strong data analytics skills with a drive to continue to dig until a root cause is identified.
  • Highly accountable and demonstrated ability to lead through others to drive sustainable improvement.
  • Strong ability to build partnerships and collaborate across the organization.
  • Proficient in Greenfield and is comfortable modifying and adapting visualizations and data to meet consumer needs.
  • Flexibility & resiliency; comfortable working in areas that are constantly changing.
  • Desire to learn new capabilities and enable others to do the same.

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member worksfull-time from home oran alternatelocation that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $81,300 - $146,400. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family.
