Registered Nurse


POSITION: NURSE

SCHEDULE: Full Time, Per Diem or PART-TIME

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Nurse will provide care for students in our vibrant, warm school community with a specific focus on COVID-19 safety, medical emergencies, and basic first aid for the students and staff. The employee should be a self-starter, highly organized and able to effectively manage multiple priorities with a calm demeanor.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

? Scan for COVID-19 symptoms as teachers and students arrive each day.

? Stay current on all COVID-19 safety protocols for schools and school-age children and be aware when/if guidance changes.

? Create a COVID-19 safety protocol if a student/teacher is showing symptoms either upon arrival or during the session-need to be able to evaluate if someone is sick.

? Maintain an organized space stocked with all supplies needed for COVID-19 safety, basic first aid and medical emergencies. Prepare a list of needed supplies for purchase.

? Administer any epi-pens/inhalers during possible medical emergencies.

? While not directly administering medical care, assist with supervision of children.

? Responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed to meet the needs of the school/program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

? Registered Nurse

? Certified in CPR, AED and emergency care

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):

? Ability to navigate a physically active position during school/program hours
