Application Support Engineer II

Job Description:

Position Summary

Assists with developing and stream lining the current environment support process. Monitor platform, investigate and resolve issues, assist development, QA and UAT teams for Code deployments, batch execution and environment analysis support. Works closely with upstream and downstream applications and a geographically distributed team. Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance); Analyzes test reports, identifies any test issues/errors; Triages the underlying cause. Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality. Participates, contributes and can coach team members in the delivery/release (CI-CD) events. e.g. branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes. Individual contributor.

Required Skills

  • Total of 5+ years of Work Experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Build/Deploy, Dev/Environment Support.
  • Jira/Ansible/Datical deployments experience
  • Understanding of SOAP, REST, HTTP, MQ, JSON, XML, IAM (oAuth, JWT, SAML etc..) for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Familiarity with multi-system integration and common issues that can arise when integrating enterprise technologies
  • Understanding of Application Optimization
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Self-starter, comfortable in a fast paced and dynamic environment, work independently with little supervision or direction
  • Debugging skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience

Desired Skills

  • Work experience in troubleshooting, client communication and release management
  • Should have knowledge SOAPUI and Splunk tools.
  • Work experience with SDM Tools (JENKINS, XLR, Ansible tower, Maven)
  • Work experience with Linux/windows environment setup and commands
