HVAC Mechanic

High School diploma or equivalent, must possess current EPA certification for refrigerant recovery. Arkansas class A, B, or C HVACR License helpful. Minimum of two years experience in residential installation AND service or commercial service in a building maintenance setting.



Job Requirements:
  • Install heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration systems
  • Check heating, ventilating refrigeration, and air conditioning systems
  • Troubleshoot and repairs heating, air conditioning and refrigeration units
  • Install and maintain heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
  • Perform maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems
  • Shut-down and operation of all heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment
  • Operating, maintaining and repairing heating ventilations, air conditioning and refrigeration
  • Installing, operating, maintaining and repairing heating ventilations, air conditioning, refrigeration and auxiliary equipment
  • Remove, stores and records specific location of all heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment
  • Connect heating or air conditioning equipment to fuel, water, or refrigerant source to complete circuit
  • Maintain the air balance from the air conditioning units to create proper airflow and increase efficiency
  • Completed repairs and items that require further attention
  • Shut-down and operation of all heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment
  • Connect gas lines to heating equipment
  • Repairing air conditioning/heating units, repairing electrical appliances, outlets and locks, and performing plumbing and carpentry
  • Make repairs to heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment including fans, motors,thermostats, dampers and regulating controls
  • Perform field activities associated with installing, maintaining and servicing heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems for commercial and noncommercial equipment
  • Maintain HVAC systems (e. g. air handling units, filtration systems, air conditioning, refrigeration, heating) air dryers, vacuum, fire protection, and plumbing
  • Perform skilled work in the repair, construction, and maintenance of various refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including associated air handling, control devices and equipment, heating
  • Analyze, diagnose, adjust and restore malfunctioning heating, air conditioning and ventilating systems and chambers in order to ensure efficient operating conditions
