The role is two-fold; one part is data management and the other is as an Exploration Researcher. The Data Management part will focus on organising field records currently in hard copy. Reviewing, scanning and organising these documents whilst liasing with the relevent field researcher will be imperitive. The second part of the role as an Exploration Researcher will focus on data projects which may include researching and reviewing geological parameters and scouting and analysing Prospect data to improve completeness, consistency and correctness of the EDIN database.

General Job Duties:

Liaise with Regional Teams on Data Management and during any data projects.

Reviewing, scanning and organising important field records for Fields Researchers.

Through technical and geological knowledge and a basic understanding of the oil and gas industry, data projects will be required. These are TBC but will likely include work on Prospects.

Specific Job Duties:

Data projects focussing on the Australasia, Europe, Middle East and India Sub-Continent regions.

Working with Fields Researchers and Regional Team managers on data management aspect.

Required Education: Indicate the level of formal education normally required for this position.

BSc and above as a Geo-scientist (Geology / Earth Sciences)

Required Experience:

Good opportunity for someone looking to go into the Oil and Gas industry

IT skills required, a basic grasp of Excel would be required.

Other skills:

Ability to work well in a team and individually

Ability to present solutions to complex problems in simple understandable terms

Organisation and good communicator are key.
