LGMC/HHS Hiring Housekeepers for 3rd shift (11p-730am)

HOUSEKEEPER

Position Goal
Our goal is to provide a superior level of cleaning quality in an assigned area to maintain a clean working environment.

Position Responsibilities

  • Report to the Environmental Services Director for work * Perform daily cleaning procedures in accordance with HHS scheduling training videos in assigned areas
  • Record work completed on Area Assignment Checklist * Police assigned area at the beginning of each shift
  • Respond to Housekeeping pages * Perform other tasks as assigned by department Director

Essential Functions

  • Able to lift 0 –40 lbs. frequently * Capable of standing, walking, squatting, * Capable of lifting furniture and bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching equipment (25 –100 lbs.) continuously throughout a shift frequently
  • Capable of pushing and pulling a maid cart, * Capable of pushing and pulling furniture * Must have communication skills linen cart, or various equipment (over 100 and equipment (25 –100 lbs.) frequently in English (reading, writing, lbs.) on tile and carpeted floors speaking) continuously throughout a shift
  • Must be able to handle/interact with all * Must be able to work weekends, holidays, chemicals used (i.e., bleach, wax, VIREX, and even hours as needed per assigned etc.) area

Tools and Equipment

  • Micromop * Loop mop, if needed * Bucket
  • Wringer * Vacuum * Cart (housekeeping/linen)
  • High duster * Scrubbing pads * Putty knife

Cleaning Tasks
Restrooms

  • Clean Daily * Check Daily o Sink (inside & outside) o All edges lower than 6 ft. o Toilet (inside & outside) o Walls o Mirror o Water pipes o Tub/Shower (inside & outside) o Wastebaskets (inside & outside) o Empty trash & replace liner o Mop floor
  • Detail Weekly (as scheduled) * Check Daily (Replace as needed) o All edges over 6 ft. o Toilet tissue o Ceiling vents and corners o Paper towels o Door & door frames o Soap dispensers o Baseboards & corners

Ancillary Areas

  • Clean Daily * Check Daily o Desks & countertops o All edges less than 6 ft. o Telephones o Walls o Empty trash & replace liner o Windows o Mop tile floors o Wastebaskets (inside & outside) o Vacuum carpeted areas o Furniture & cabinets o Water fountains o Needle boxes (dispose when ¾ full)
  • Detail Weekly (as scheduled) * Check Daily (Replace as needed) o All edges over 6 ft. o Toilet tissue o Ceiling vents and corners o Paper towels o Door & door frames o Soap dispensers o Windows & blinds o Baseboards & corners

Patient Areas

  • Clean Daily * Check Daily o Contact Items (phone, bed-side table, over o All edges less than 6 ft. bed table, television control, etc.) o Walls & windows o Empty trash & replace liners (regular & o Cubicle curtains biohazardous) o Wastebaskets (inside & outside) o Mop tile floors o Needle boxes (dispose when ¾ full) o Vacuum carpeted areas o Furniture & cabinets o Please note: At accounts where applicable

(e.g., CHS accounts or per facility agreement), run sink/shower for 5 mins. on discharge

  • Detail Weekly (as scheduled) * Check Daily (Replace as needed) o All edges over 6 ft. o Toilet tissue o Ceiling vents and corners o Paper towels o Door & door frames o Soap dispensers o Windows & blinds o Baseboards & corners

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.50 - $13.00 per hour
