Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

What we are looking for:
We are seeking an effective Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to plan, direct, and control all available resources to ensure timely, damage-free loading/unloading of freight. This individual will be responsible for the accurate tracking of all materials received while following all safety and operations procedures. What you will do:
Maintain accurate schedule of incoming & outgoing shipments
Maintain accurate and proactive control of inventory
Inspects and records incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy and quality
Pull finished product to fill orders and prepare them for shipping
Verifies accuracy of all shipping/receiving documentation
Receive purchase orders, print pallet tags, and work closely with teammates to ensure proper purchase orders are received according to the schedule
Timely communicates receipt of all products to appropriate leaders and communicates no call, no shows, and rescheduled shipments
Collaborates with team to ensure facility Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals are met and/or exceeded
Assists with loading and unloading trucks and collaborates with other functions to achieve seamless movement of freight
Ensures a clean and organized warehouse and working environment through high maintenance housekeeping standards
Maintains accurate record and solve freight issues as they arise
Supports and complies with all company policies and safety requirements
Maintains a safe work environment compliant with OSHA standards
Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed:

  • High school diploma / GED
  • 1+ years of experience in shipping
  • 1+ years of forklift experience is required
  • Experience in a manufacturing, assembly or related environment
  • Packaging, shipping, fork truck operation, and dock operations experience
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Able to work in a diverse work environment
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety in a manufacturing environment
