If so, please read on! Contemporary Staffing Solutions is currently seeking an An Accounts Receivable Analyst (Deductions) for a premier client in Philadelphia, Pa.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00pm
Description: Under direct supervision of the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, the *Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for the analyzing and determining the validity of customer chargeback claims. This position is also responsible for the timely administration and issuance of customer chargebacks, customer correspondence regarding invalid deductions, and requesting and processing credit notes. This position works extensively with our direct customers and across internal departments.
Responsibilities for the Accounts Receivable Analyst Include:

  • Download electronic remittances and analyze for approval by AR collectors, before posting.
  • Analyze daily chargeback transactions to ensure chargebacks are accurately issued within 3-5 days.
  • Correspond with Customers in regards to invalid deductions, requests for documentations, and other issues related to A/R duties.
  • Remit denial letters for invalid claims.
  • Process credit notes and verify that they are applied to the appropriate accounts and invoices.
  • Request credit note approval from appropriate departments, and follow-up until resolved.
  • Research and resolve credit and unapplied cash balances.
  • Maintain reporting and analysis for open deductions with applicable notes, descriptions, and status.
  • Obtain POD’s and file freight claims.
  • Perform as backup when necessary for others in the AR Department.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements/Skills for the Accounts Receivable Analyst Include:

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Excel
  • Ability to understand commercial credit reports, trade references, and basic financial information is a plus and preferred.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards software a plus.

Education and Experience Required for the Accounts Receivable Analyst:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; college degree or some college education preferred.
  • Relevant Credit or Customer Service experience preferred but not required
