Marketing Budget Analyst

Job Overview:

The Marketing Budget Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all projects, payments and deal memos are tracked accurately and processed in a timely manner for the marketing and PR departments. Primary responsibilities include month end close processing, maintaining detailed log of pending and completed contracts, processing invoices and T&E’s, setting up new vendors, ensuring all expenses are tracked, reporting and other marketing project oversight as required.

Job Responsibilities:

Budget Management for six divisions: Consumer Marketing, Brand Creative, Production, Digital Marketing, Integrated Marketing and PR

  • Month end close processing, including monthly accruals reporting variance commentary
  • Monthly general ledger reconciliation process
  • Yearly budgeting and quarterly reforecasting
  • Track ongoing projects, contracts and payments
  • Marketing project management across aspects of media planning, digital and/or production
  • Analysis of Media Spend versus actual affidavits
  • Initiate deal memos and tracking them through the system to prevent delays
  • Enter invoices into internal payment system
  • Interact with vendors and accounting regarding status of accounts payable


  • Two to three years experience in accounting or finance
  • Bachelors degree in business or related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, with special emphasis on Excel using linked tabs, formulas and pivot tables
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Public Company experience preferred
  • Experience with Oracle a plus
