Investment Banking Associate - Chicago

Cabrera Capital Markets is seeking an experienced Associate to support our Public Finance Investment Banking team in all aspects of new business development and transaction execution. The Associate will assist in deal execution, cash flow modeling, the preparation of presentations, proposals and debt profiles for municipal and not-for-profit issuers.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate debt profiles to provide bankers with an overview of a client’s debt position and historical financing trends
  • Formulate client presentations, pitch books, and responses to Requests for Proposals
  • Provide quantitative analyses including financial forecasting, cash flow analysis, and bond sizing
  • Assist bankers in the execution of new issue transactions including documentation, pricing, presentations to investors and rating agencies, and deal closing coordination
  • Monitor market conditions to apply new financing and optimization strategies based on clients’ financing needs
  • Research projects related to regulatory, legal, policy or client-specific issues
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Over 3 years of previous experience as a Public Finance Associate
  • SIE, Series 7 and Series 63 required or within 90 days of hire
  • Advanced analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be self-motivated and possess strong time management
  • Advanced proficiency with DBC Finance, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
