Project Manager - Primoris Industrial and Civil

Job Overview:

Primoris Industrial and Civil is searching for an experienced Project Manager in the Houston, TX area. This position will manage single and/or multiple job sites in a demanding, fast-paced environment with a wide scope of work.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Build a standard Work Package and Work Package Progress System for implementation through the PIC project.
  • Train and Assist Projects in the training, development, building, and maintaining of their Work Package and Progress systems.
  • Assist in building standards for Tracking Completions and Project Turnover.
  • Assist in developing a process for smooth turnover between construction and completions to eliminate double work and promote efficiency.
  • Understanding of the contract requirements and communication to the project team for compliance.
  • Responsible for ensuring Safety, Security, and Quality are held to the highest standards of performance.
  • Responsible for the Project Execution Procedure/Plan development.
  • Manage both cost and schedule for self-performed and subcontracted work.
  • Liaise with owners, subcontractors, and other internal and external contacts.
  • Select subcontractors through bid analysis and ensure contract issuance and proper insurances are in place prior to commencement of work.
  • Negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Review and approve project invoices, to ensure vendor and subcontractor payments.
  • Assist in the implementation of QA/QC programs.
  • Confer with upper management to ensure all work procedures and constructability issues are resolved with owners, subcontractors, vendors, and designers.
  • Evaluate weekly construction methods, determine cost-effectiveness, and discuss any concerns with Project Superintendents.
  • Ensure project records, files, and check sheets are in order for project closeout per contract requirements.
  • Ensure the project has the tools, resources, and personnel to execute properly and efficiently within contract requirements.
  • Hold the team accountable for deliverables and work between the different groups to develop the most efficient processes for the project.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Project Management experience in the oil, gas, and petrochemical fields.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • EPC experience required.
  • Experience in estimating, subcontract management, scheduling, and purchasing a must.
  • Ability to meet fast-paced, changing schedules and priorities.
  • Keen awareness of industry recommended practices, OSHA requirements, equipment, and QA/QC.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
