Warehouse Inventory Associate

Primary Function: The Inventory Associate is a member of the Inventory team, which falls under the Warehouse Department. This position, under the direction of the Inventory Manager, is responsible for ensuring safe handling and organization of inventory within the warehouse, pulling orders in preparation of property staging, stocking & restocking, fulfillment of rental orders (including transportation and pick-up), and maintaining cohesion of inventory with Point of Rental departments and categories. The Inventory Associate is capable of working under time constraints, maintaining strict attention to detail, quickly developing comprehensive knowledge of inventory, and demonstrating a willingness to learn products and acclimate to the company culture.

Inventory Associate’s Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains open communication with the Inventory Manager
  • Stock inventory under the direction of the Inventory Manager
  • Operate stock pickers to lift, move, pick, and stock inventory
  • Pull orders for rentals and property staging; Place in designated load zones in preparation for loading
  • Loads orders with members of the Inventory team into trucks in preparation for property staging
  • Ensure that all goods pulled for orders are in good condition
  • Restock items returning from property destages and rentals
  • Ensure that all goods returned to the warehouse are in good condition prior to re-stocking
  • Maintain inventory quality, ensuring that all inventory in circulation is in good condition
  • Use Point of Rental software to track inventory availability and quality
  • Use provided tools and equipment needed to maintain inventory condition
  • Remove and report damaged and dirty inventory
  • Maintain timelines under the direction of the Inventory Manager

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

Education/ Experience Requirements:

  • This role requires a minimum of either a High school diploma or a GED
  • Preferred: Prior training on material handling equipment (e.g. hand trucks, pallet jacks, stock pickers, etc.)

Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

  • REQUIRED: Valid driver’s license, forklift certification, DOT-regulated certifications
  • REQUIRED: Cleared to maintain and operate up to a 26’ box truck

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and frequently team lift items up to 200 pounds. This job frequently requires the employee to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) 50% of the time, or the other 50% to move around the warehouse to consolidate or determine inventory needs. The employee in this position will be required to utilize RFID products, computer and/ or Ipad, operate on warehouse equipment to move inventory items around the warehouse, and frequently ascend ladders to assess the inventory located on higher shelves. This employee will need to communicate with various departments and management teams, and be able to exchange necessary and accurate information in regards to inventory needs.

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee will mainly be in a warehouse setting, and may be exposed to the outdoor environment. The employee is frequently exposed to hot or humid conditions (non-weather). The employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and work in high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
