Beverage On-Premise Sales & Account Representative

We are a rapidly growing luxury craft brand distributed by one of the largest wine and spirits distributors in the western region and looking to expand from our headquarters in Orange County into Los Angeles county. We are seeking independent contractors with some sales and/or hospitality experience who are driven, professional, and looking to jump on board with a great brand that has plenty of room to grow.

Job Description
The on-premise sales and account representative's job is to support the distributor’s sales reps by generating leads, closing sales, and supporting on-premise accounts (restaurants, bars, hotels, country clubs, etc.) within a specified territory. This is not just a sales position. Although sales is a vital aspect of the job and important metrics for success; relationship building and customer support is as equally important. The candidate will be responsible for creating their own business strategy (with our guidance) to maximize their earnings while maintaining a positive reflection of the brand at all times.

Day-to-day activities will include, but are not limited to, calling leads to setup appointments and product tastings (samplings), visiting leads to close sales (get them to order our product), following-up with existing customers to ensure their needs are met, provide marketing support at special events as needed (award shows, charity events, golf tournaments, etc.). The Independent Contractor will not be responsible for actual fulfillment or payment processing of orders -- this is all handled by our distributor.

This is a remote independent contractor position but training will be provided. Bring your positive attitude and willingness to learn and we will set you up for success!


  • Engage with distributor’s reps and affiliate’s reps for lead generation and sales
  • Call target accounts for sales and appointment setting
  • Manage and service existing accounts (inventory, promotions, relationships, etc)
  • Report sales to the distributor’s reps so they can deliver and fulfill the orders
  • Manage your customer reports using the provided software
  • Develop sales strategies or promotions and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Stay within brand standards always (you are a reflection of the brand)
  • Attend meetings, sales events and trainings as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • English as a native language
  • Own method of transportation and willing to travel locally
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance
  • Ability to use technology such as computer, tablet, smartphone
  • Record keeping (inputting data into customer management software)
  • Physically fit: able to lift 40-60 lbs, stand for long period of times or drive
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Self motivated, self starter, positive attitude and driven.
  • Some sales skills
  • Great personality with willingness to learn
  • Must have own method for outbound and inbound calling (i.e. cell phone)
  • May have to work some weekends

Compensation (Based on part-time independent contractor work)
$12.00 per hour at 20 hours a week
