About this job

This part-time position plays a vital role for CarMax Auctions delivering exceptional customer service by taking calls from customers and responding with answers to address and resolve concerns, handling calls with speed and professionalism, and supporting database records and data entry to register auction customers.  In addition, this position will complete outbound calls to obtain required documents, handle customer maintenance, and support Auction Managers with marketing calls.

$3,500 Sign-On Bonus* (Only Bilingual English/Spanish candidates external to CarMax who are hired will qualify to receive the sign-on bonus.)

What you will do – Essential Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service to registered CarMax Auction customers, and Store Associates (Business Office & Buyers Office) by logging in to the Auction phone lines and assisting to resolve issues.  The Coordinator will follow up with emails or phones calls, as needed and partner with a Manager on more complex issues. The Coordinator will:

  • Assist Auction customers by troubleshooting and navigating the CarMax Auctions website and other services.
  • Assist Auction customers with inquiries and communicate issues with payment.
  • Call customers to promote new Auction locations and/or services.
  • Maintain Fax, Mail, and Email correspondence
  • Review phone calls to discover opportunities for better customer service.
  • Promote process improvement and participate in new business initiatives to support business needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience with customer service
  • Experience working in fast paced environment
  • Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred
  • Strong communications skills (verbal and active listening)
  • Strong internal and external customer service and organization skills.
