Production Tech Maintenance

We have a maintenance position open 6:00am to 2:30 pm M-F. Starting wage 16.50


 Job Summary: Maintain the day-to-day operations to assume responsibility for maintaining the physical asset of the property under the direction of the maintenance supervisor. The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.


Essential Job Duties:


1. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s


equipment.


2. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs


scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.


3. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.


4. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic,


troubleshooting and repair of production machines.


5. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.


6. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.


7. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.


8. Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.


9. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing


duties.


10. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper


supervision.


11. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

Education & Experience:


1. High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years


of education and production maintenance experience.


2. 4+ years of manufacturing experience. Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills.



Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be familiar with the company's products and warehouse methods, techniques and procedures. Must be able to work in cooperation with others. Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments. Must be able to communicate effectively with others. Must have the flexibility to work variable schedules including weekends. Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires individuals to continually be on their feet except when operating machinery. Should not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights. They must be able to climb ladders, stairs and withstand heights of more than 15 feet. Employee must be able to stand for long periods, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, climb and be able to move/lift up to 75 pounds regularly. Employee will also be required to be clean shaven and be fit tested to wear a respirator. While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat; should be able to tolerate high and low-temperature levels. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud
