We are seeking a Sr Software Engineer Specialty with strong skills in UI development & implementation to join our team of creators. Our team is working in the Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) organization, specifically in Capital Markets within our advanced Portfolio Accounting Development Team. 

The Software Sr Engineer Specialty will be working with a team of developers leading the team to the next generation. Other tasks include interfacing with the business, business partners, and leadership to achieve goals and gather new requirements in an evolving agile environment.  

The ideal candidate will have in depth knowledge of portfolio accounting in the Prime Services business. This role will be a full stack developer to work on the Prime Services Portal application. Other items include experience developing rich user interfaces using React, Javascript, HTML, and CSS. Exposure to building server side applications using Java and Oracle database technologies. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, and financial industry experience is a plus.



Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: securities, quants, artificial intelligence, or machine learning
  • 5+ years of Java experience
  • 5 + years of Java Web Services experience
  • 2+ years of experience in developing enterprise web applications using React JS with Redux
  • 5+ years of relational database experience
  • 3+ years of Tomcat development or implementation experience



Desired Qualifications

  • A Masters degree or higher in computer science or finance
  • A professional certification in technology
  • Basic knowledge of industry regulations related to building technological solutions
  • 5+ years of secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience
  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
  • Agile experience
  • Ability to motivate a team and lead strategic initiatives, collaborating across a large organization and multi-tasking as required



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years of JDBC experience
  • 5+ years of Oracle experience
  • 5+ years of SQL experience
