Manager, Financial Process and Systems



The Financial Process and Systems Manager is an expert in an assigned end-to-end process cycle (Order-to-Cash, or Record-to-Report) including associated general ledger transactions and reporting.

The manager partners with Finance and Accounting process owners to improve and automate financial processes that enable team members to focus on their core tasks. The individual in this role should have experience working with finance and accounting process teams in a consultative role or part of the function. She/he should have technical aptitude, and process improvement knowledge necessary to independently solve complex financial process problems by accurately identifying root causes and articulating the solution to the stakeholders.

This is a hands-on role and is responsible for system configuration changes, testing processes and accountable for the results of assigned projects and workstreams that focus on delivering process redesign and automation initiatives.


• Lead process improvement projects targeting user experience, efficiency, and automation. Demonstrate personal ownership of the configuration changes and projects and follow through to reach targeted results.

• Microsoft D365 implementation tasks including but not limited to configuration and master data changes, report development, testing, data conversion, cutover, and user support after go-live.

• Maintain a close relationship with IT technology/engineering teams, ensuring collaboration and partnership during process improvement activities.

• Application owner of assigned financial system and processes, leading the resolution and prevention of issues or problems.

• Identify improvement opportunities and create end-to-end process recommendations

• Drive informed decisions with business partners by providing sound technical and operational process guidance.

• Organize, develop, and deliver routine financial system end-user training

• Ensure organization-wide understanding and implementation of financial systems and processes, directly assisting end-users as needed

• Build organizational capability through continuous improvement activities; originate action to improve existing conditions and processes

• Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence, including the ability to manage conflict effectively

• Identify, track, report and present meaningful performance or progress metrics.

• Ability to lead and interact with global teams.


• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Accounting or Finance or Computer Science

• 4 + years of consultative experience serving an Accounting or Finance organization

• 10+ Microsoft ERP implementation experience either in consulting or in an industry facing role.

• Demonstrable expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365


• Hyperion Consolidation and Planning System

• 3 + years of Python, VBA, BI Analytics or RPA development experience

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

• Consulting experience
