The Fleet Maintenance Parts Specialist supervises and directs vehicle and equipment part supply and inventory functions. Performs a variety of moderately complex duties. Responsible for supervising and performing vehicle and equipment parts supply and inventory functions for multiple maintenance shops/shifts. Will assist with developing procedures and methods.
  • Schedules, distributes/balances and guides the work assignment of co-workers, according to established work flow requirements, and documents and communicates production levels and training needs
  • Trains in specific tasks, job practices and procedures for vehicle and equipment parts supply
  • Orders parts, materials and supplies used in maintenance and repair
  • Process invoices for payment; verifies receipt of invoiced parts, material and supplies
  • Maintains and tracks inventory records/computer records
  • Unloads, stores, transports, delivers and distributes parts, materials and supplies
  • Coordinates activities with vendors and sales representatives; follows up on items not received and validates item pricing and discounts
  • Other duties as assigned

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Six years of related automotive inventory control and parts experience
  • Must have a valid Driver's License
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Forklift Operator Certification highly desired
  • ASE P1, P2 and P4 highly desired
  • Fleet Management experience preferred
  • Ability to perform mid-level data analysis including ability to audit, assess and appraise data
  • Must understand shop safety, including hazardous materials
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion
  • Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

Work is typically based in a busy service center/maintenance garage environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must be willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by established Company Safety Standards. Normal work hours are Monday-Friday 6:30 am to 3:30 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may also be required.


May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 75 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
