Supports CNC production process to ensure optimization of cost, quality and on time delivery of products. Will be responsible for improving existing CNC processes, writing new CNC programs, set-up and prove new programs under limited supervision.

Your responsibilities

  • • Programs 3& 4 axis CNC mills and lathes using Gibbs Cam and or G code programming.
  • • Sets up and prove out new programs
  • • Designs new and replacement fixturing and tooling
  • • Improves existing CNC machining processes
  • • Learns to teach and program robots
  • • Be a mentor to train other CNC setup people
  • • Learns to program and set up 8 station full CNC rotary transfer machining center
  • • Learns to quote new part numbers for manufacturing

Your background

  • Associates Degree with 3 years of experience OR 8 years of equivalent experience in the CNC programming field.
  • Three years of experience Programming Vertical and Horizontal machining centers using a GUI and manual G code ability.
  • The successful candidate will have a background of Fixture design, programming setting up and proving out their work. It is essential to have a hands-on methodology or working.
  • Must have a strong desire to continually improve process and learn new technologies.
  • • Must be able to program using Gibbs Cam and G Code programming.
  • • Be familiar with both Horizontal and Vertical palletized CNC machining Centers.
  • • Knowledge of Transfer machining a plus.
  • • Must be an accomplished CNC set up person with functional knowledge of Fanuc and Hass Controls.
  • • Must have the demonstrated ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • • Experience in production machining of aluminum alloys
  • • Be proficient with precision measuring instruments and fixed gaging.
  • • Fixture design experienced a plus.
  • • Must have flexibility in working hours to support second and third shift as necessary
  • • Experience programming robots a plus.
