Supply Chain Analyst

Under guidance of the Director, Supply Chain, this position is responsible for maintaining the current supply and demand planning tools and developing updated supply and demand planning tools. Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain, this role will support the push for increased business visibility to identify constraints and opportunities across the supply chain. In addition, this position will be point person in the supply chain group to utilize company databases to development impactful dashboards and data sets.

Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.

  • Identify opportunities to advance visibility and effectiveness of supply chain planning tools
  • Utilize Tableau, SQL, and other databases to develop toolkit to fully integrate supply planning, demand planning, and inventory planning.
  • Works crossfunctionally with IT, commercial, logistics, operations, etc. to support supply chain collaboration across all departments.
  • Maintains monthly supply and demand planning tools used in the SIOP meetings.
  • Leads development of reporting needs under direction from Director, Supply Chain.
  • Collect data on supply chain operations
  • Analyze data to identify areas of supply chain operations to improve efficiency
  • Develop and execute projects to enhance supply chain operations
  • Establish and maintain relationships with shippers and vendors
  • Assess vendor operations and enforce compliance with quality standards
  • Measure supply chain performance and report to management
  • Work with the procurement, logistics and IT departments to enhance service delivery

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain and IT or Supply Chain and Project Management preferred
  • Minimum five years of work experience in Supply Chain, Planning, or Operations.
  • Battery industry experience desired.

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:

  • Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve problems
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage projects and lead teams.
  • Knowledge of supply chain systems and business reporting tools. Experience with JDA and
  • JD Edwards beneficial.
  • Familiarity with SQL, and Access, strong experience with Microsoft Excel, and other office programs.
  • APICS certification, or equivalent, desirable.
  • Proven knowledge of inventory management
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and forecasting tools and ability to develop actionable insights from data
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to build and improve trusting relationships
  • Attention to detail
