Job Details

This position will direct activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials and products. Additionally, develop and initiate standards for inspection, testing and evaluation. This position will report to the Quality Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of this position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Evaluate the company’s product specifications and examine them with customer requirements
Set quality assurance objectives to achieve targets
Support and maintain ISO/IATF 16949 requirements, certifications, and internal audits
Define quality measures in conjunction with manufacturing associates
Record data related to product and raw material quality
Monitor performance by collecting relevant information and preparing statistical reports
Analyze performance charts and data against defined parameters
Define corrective and preventive actions for identified issues
Conduct audits and creates management reports to identify corrective actions
Lead continuous improvement initiatives
Create and maintain company quality documentation such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
Develop, review, and implement appropriate special characteristics and complete APQP documentation as a part of cross-functional teams
Acquire training on customer portals to effectively communicate with customers, including scorecards and warranties
Understand and comply with all customer specific-requirements
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Work Experience: 2 years of experience in related area with exposure to ISO/IATF 16949 and AIAG requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Applied Science
Skills: Microsoft Office, PPAP, OEM, SPC, MSA, FMEA, APQP, Automotive Core Quality tools
Organization Skills: Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed
Cross-functional Skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally; engage and build effective relationships across the organization; provides excellent internal and external customer service
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate and collaborate within a high functioning team; professional and pleasant demeanor
Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: Ability to stand, walk, kneel and grasp; repetitive movements
Physical Environment: Office and manufacturing environment; ability to tolerate variable climate: heat, humidity, and cold conditions

Preferred Requirements:
Work Experience: 5 years of Quality experience with ISO/IATF 16949 and AIAG requirement
Language: Bilingual (English, Spanish)
