Role Objective:
  • Develop and enhance analytic reporting capabilities to support key Merchandising Planning initiatives

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Enhance existing reporting capabilities in support of ongoing Merchandising Planning initiatives
  • Increase efficiency by simplifying the maintenance of existing reporting by identifying and acting against opportunities for automation
  • Design and develop new reporting to be scaled and distributed, primarily related to pricing and promotion
  • Partner with Information Technology counterparts to scale and distribute reports once developed
  • Track and measure performance metrics vs. expectations and proactively surface opportunities for possible adjustments
  • Build an in-depth understanding of strategic merchandising goals, with an emphasis on pricing and promotion

Essential / Technologies:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of analytics platforms and programming languages, including Excel and SQL
  • Experience working with third-party data providers Nielsen, IRI, etc

Good to Have Skills / Technologies:
  • Familiarity with retail data structures and supporting technology
  • Familiarity with the retail environment in general, particularly the grocery industry
  • Experience with building and maintaining statistical forecast models
