IT Asset Administrator

Location: Dubuque, Iowa - Locust Street

Under direct supervision, the IT Asset Administrator is responsible for the daily and long-term management of software and technology-related hardware within the organization. This includes monitoring and recording software licenses and hardware end-user computing assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts. The IT Asset Administrator follows defined procedures for tracking company assets and overseeing quality control throughout their lifecycles.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Adheres to processes, procedures and systems for tracking and analyzing software, hardware, and equipment from requisition through retirement.
  • Maintains data for IT assets utilizing necessary tools to manage all end user technology assets such as laptops, PC's, printers, thin clients, monitors and other branch equipment.
  • Conducts training as needed for use by department level staff to maintain inventory.
  • Manages acquisition of assets from planning through deployment to ensure compliance with vendor contracts, licenses and entitlements.
  • Coordinates equipment delivery with Human Resources for new hire employees.
  • Coordinates and tracks retrieval of equipment of terminated employees.
  • Coordinates shipping and distribution of equipment to HTLF and member bank employees and assists in retrieval of equipment.
  • Works directly with the Service Desk Manager to procure equipment and process equipment invoices.
  • Provides technology asset reports to IT, Finance, and other groups as needed.
  • Verifies, enters, and adjusts IT asset management data in a variety of forms, schedules, and reports.
  • Tracks entire life-cycle management for each asset to maintain warranty information, refresh date, and end of life data information.
  • Works directly with technology administrators to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Follows Asset Tagging Standards.
  • Conducts inventory audits and develops process and procedures to ensure accuracy.
  • Adheres to e-recycling policies and procedures.
  • Remains familiar with IS Business Recovery Plan and Information Security Program.
  • Assists in IS Business Recovery planning and testing.
  • Completes annual E-Learning Plan and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training as assigned and keeps up-to-date knowledge of BSA as it relates to the job function.
