Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this position will require regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extend periods and regularly performing repetitive motion (such as typing).


Monday through Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm may require some weekends, holidays, and on-call per department needs.

Job Summary

The RIS / PACS Administrator III will provide staff level support in the Application Ancillary Services function of Information Technology Services. Job duties will include assisting in the diagnosis of radiographic images utilizing knowledge of DICOM and image transmission. This individual will also as assist with departmental workflow through software tweaks to enhance application usage as well as troubleshooting issues with interfaces and application to include EPIC Radiant and sends to/from outside facilities. Additionally, RIS / PACS Administrator will perform various system maintenance to include reboots of servers and processes, database cleanups, quality control errors, and assist with system updates and upgrades.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Experiences as a RIS analyst or PACS with three years Siemens or McKesson experience preferred.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No

Preferred Education/Experience

BA/BS in Medical Imaging, Business Administration, Health Services, Informatics or Computer Science preferred. Radiology registry is a plus.
