The Opportunity

At Berkadia, our Assistant Vice President of Treasury plays a key role in delivering an exceptional and smooth experience for our clients, partners and employees. Berkadia has an immediate opportunity for an experienced professional to join us in our Corporate Treasury Group.

In partnership with our Senior Vice President of Treasury, you will use your relationship-building skills, attention to detail and related industry knowledge, you will be responsible for supporting the company's corporate liquidity while limiting risks to the organization.  Responsibilities include daily and intermediate-term cash management, credit facility management, development and maintenance of strong banking relationships associated with credit facility operations, interfacing with internal/external auditors, and management of all daily Treasury operations. This opportunity will not include direct people leadership or strategy; but rely on your ability to work across groups to influence others and oversee a critical function for the company.

This opportunity is located at Berkadia's corporate headquarters in Ambler, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia.

Key accountability includes:

  • Manages the daily cash management activities of the Company.
  • Work with Berkadia business units to move loans into and out of GSE facilities.
  • Manages the day-to-day operations associated with the GSE facilities.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the WRF Commercial Paper program.
  • Responsible for managing internal/external audit requests and relationships.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense Reimbursement processes.
  • Manage credit card facility.
  • Maintains banking relationships.
  • Credit facility management.
  • Calculates monthly interest expense for credit facilities.

What you will need to be successful in this role

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field, and 4+ years of experience in a Corporate Treasury operations position or the equivalent.
  • Self- reliant, good problem solver, results oriented.
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and administration initiatives.
  • Advance MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams required.
  • Audit background preferred.
  • Workday background a bonus.
  • Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
