Sr. Real Estate Paralegal

Work with the Corporate Legal Department in the following areas: preparation of documents in connection with retail, office and ground leasing of commercial real estate. Familiarity with acquisition, disposition and financing of commercial real estate, general corporate documents and Salesforce is essential.


  • Handle all assigned matters regarding the leasing of commercial real estate including, but not limited to, the following:
    • prepare lease agreements, amendments, consent approvals for assignments/subleases, notice letters to tenants, and other legal documentation
    • review existing leasing agreements and provide information to company employees
    • some negotiation of lease amendments and real estate contracts
    • tracking of leasing documents through execution
  • Assist with lease and amendment execution process, including use of DocuSign software.
  • Work in conjunction with leasing and operations business teams, real estate, corporate and litigation attorneys, and other paralegals and legal assistants with regard to real estate leases, contracts, property management and financing related legal matters.
  • Assist attorneys in researching and carrying out various tasks and assisting in cases associated with landlord-tenant disputes and land-use matters.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelors degree strongly preferred.
  • Paralegal certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of related legal experience in a law firm or in a corporate legal department.
  • Must have paralegal experience in the commercial real estate industry.
  • Familiarity with legal contracts and related terminology.
  • Professional interaction with attorneys, clients and vendors.
  • Build positive working relationships with employees at all levels within the organization.
  • Exercise sound judgment when making decisions.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
  • Effectively work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organization skills with attention to detail.
