The Technology Services Unit has a career opportunity for an individual who will be working as a senior software development manager responsible for several applications in SEI's fund administration business. This includes, but not limited to working with fund operations, technical operations, infrastructure, and development teams. Tasks include leading large-scale development projects, problem determination and upgrade coordination, as well as providing detailed technical support through research, analysis and resolution of issues.

The individual needs to be able to work in a fast paced and rapid deployment environment.

What you'll do:

  • Manage the full SLDC process for our data movement technologies
  • Lead/Guide members of the development team to accomplish assigned projects and tasks
  • Provide expertise on core applications and application process, including leading efforts for 3rd level support on critical production issues
  • Participate in release and implementation projects
  • Promote Agile methodologies and DevOps principles
  • Take ownership of your products - Understand the underlying technology and business use cases for your system
  • Work with Product Management, Product Owners, and technical Business Owners to help ensure strategy and execution alignment; including the development of a product roadmap

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience working in technology, with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing development projects from design through implementation.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of experience with data management and databases
  • Knowledge of Agile processes and Atlassian products
  • Successful leadership of projects while keeping them on schedule
  • Knowledge of Docker containers, Kubernetes and Kafka is required.
  • Experience working with onshore and offshore development resources to coordinate releases in a fast paced environment
  • Development management and IT architecture design/implementation experience, including deriving estimates and dates for work items, and technical design against complex requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of data processing concepts and financial industry/banking operations practices, such as processing data from consuming application through a messaging architecture to consuming applications/data warehouses.
