Specialist, Ongoing LT Planner

Location: Piscataway, NJ

* The Role:-

  • Effectively manage planning cycle to build appropriate supply plan across all categories
  • Player/manage the planning and coordination of all CHANEL's outbound shipments
  • Planning seasonal stock builds, running scenarios, and making recommendations
  • Right size inventory and optimize supply plans, including safety stocks positioning
  • Control excess, destructions, and obsolescence inventory
  • Analyze and set item replenishment parameters based on product category, demand variability, and lead time
  • Accountable for planning and executing gift set assembly program, including 3PL vendor management
  • Closely collaborate with a global network of suppliers, with a focus on long-term relationship building, capacity planning, and timeliness
  • Develop a clear set of KPIs and targets to monitor and improve production, service and inventory performance using ABC SKU categorization
  • Develop strong, collaborative partnerships with cross functional teams by working closely to obtain high-quality demand, supply, logistics, distribution and other inputs to create a robust assumption-based inventory plan
  • Model scenarios and understand impacts of changes to demand, supply and network assumptions.
  • Escalate production delays, restocks, and supply risks internally
  • Long term plan inventory projection

* The Person:-

  • Must understand the needs of the business and develop a solid understanding of what is working and where there are opportunities for improvement to jointly prioritize, develop and deploy appropriate collaboration strategies
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet department and company targets
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to set into motion and clearly communicate new opportunities to grow and protect the business.
  • Lead partnership with internal and external technical and non-technical teams
  • Influencing & Negotiation: Can present ideas and directions that lead others to action.
  • Understands industry standards as well as business needs.
  • Familiarity and point person for knowledge on Logistics-related vendor portals, terminology
  • Ability to work cross functionally to build actionable strategies.

* Experience & skills:-

  • Bachelor's degree in related field - preferably international Business, Supply Chain, with 3-5+ years of planning experience in a supply chain role, ideally in a manufacturing or supplier environment in consumer goods industry
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
  • 1-3 years of experience working within an ERP/MRP environment at an advanced level. SAP experience a plus
  • Experience in process flow mapping to document as-is and to-be processes
  • Strong working knowledge of international shipping documentation and incoterms
  • Ability to understand technology as it relates to the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage working relationships with both technical and business professionals.
  • High proficiency with computer systems and software applications.
  • Superior communication skills - written, oral, and presentation
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with, and a high level of comfort in, contact with the customer both at an every-day operational level as well as at senior level when needed
Salary Range
$65,000.00 - 126,000.00
