The Audit Division is an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organization's operations.  AHM Audit Division's role is to assist and support the North American Regional Operating Board (NAROB) and senior executives across North America to strengthen risk management, internal controls, and governance processes among Honda and affiliated operations in North America.  AHM Audit also promotes self reliance within NA operations and ensures regulatory compliance while maintaining competitive costs but with the highest quality and efficiency of our products and services to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.  AHM Audit assists operational management with analysis of their operations from a compliance, controls, efficiency and risk management viewpoint.

In this role, you will be responsible to Identify, plan and conduct audit and consulting of information technology processes at Honda Group companies, including affiliated suppliers and/or vendors.  

At Honda, our associates take pride in their responsibilities. A typical day as an Senior Auditor - Information Technology will include:

  • Assist management with improving the efficiency / effectiveness of their system of internal controls and reduction of risk through analysis of operations and communication of findings including identification of root causes and providing recommendations. 
  • Apply common audit methodologies and approaches to plan and conduct information technology audits and will work closely with management personnel at all levels to track countermeasure implementation
  • Support other operational audit teams within the Audit Division to provide subject matter expertise.  Additionally, the Sr. Auditor may be assigned to work on confidential business matters with other business teams / departments within the Honda Group. 
  • Plan and perform information technology audits and business reviews of Honda companies, affiliated suppliers and vendors, which includes the evaluation of control practices, risk management and compliance conditions
  • Develop complex recommendations of improving the operations while supporting self reliance
  • Writing reports and audit summaries to effectively communicate the audit results
  • Document audit activities effectively using approved workpaper formats
  • Confirm Countermeasure implementation and effectiveness
  • Work closely with Auditee management associates throughout the Audit process
  • Plan and conduct follow-up reviews


Qualifications

We are looking for qualified people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, open minds, and a disciplined work ethic. To bring the future to Honda as a Senior Auditor - Information Technology, you must have: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Detailed knowledge in the following areas is necessary: information technology security, governance, operating systems, networking systems, applications, infrastructure, and business continuity / disaster recovery
  • Knowledge of it auditing principles and methodologies (e.g. COBIT, COSO) is a significant plus
  • Professional certification is preferred (e.g., CISA, CISSP, etc.)
  • Six to ten years of professional work experience with a large or medium sized international company involved with complex information technology operations (automotive experience is a significant plus)
  • Experience with applicable laws and regulations (e.g. privacy compliance) at the North American, National/Federal and provincial/state level
  • Working knowledge and experience with data analytics is a significant plus.
  • Working knowledge of information technology best practices
  • A strong ability to work closely with other operational personnel to solve problems and improve operations to achieve 100% compliance and establish efficiency / effectiveness improvement is necessary
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and resolve conflict
  • Consulting experience with strong presentation skills (desired)
  • High proficiency in MS Office products and internet research capabilities.  Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and collaborate with various levels of operating management in a complex information technology environment to identify and countermeasure actual or potential information technology risks.
