Job Description Summary

We at Enterprise are seeking a Salesforce.com Developer with a strong background in the Salesforce.com platform, Force.com (custom) solutions design, custom development, configuration, implementation, administration and engineering support (Level-3 support). The position is a part of our fast growing Salesforce.com development and implementation team, and is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to grow in a fast-paced, exciting environment that offers competitive salaries, excellent benefits and a great work-life balance. This position will be based in Columbia, MD but remote work arrangements are also available. Travel requirements are very minimal.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Salesforce.com configuration and custom development using Salesforce.com Standard and Custom Objects, Page Layouts, Approval Processes/Workflows, Flows/Process Builder, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Apex, Visual Force, and Lightning Components.
  • Strong knowledge of the architecture and working principles of all of the above is required.
  • Must be a confident, self-starter individual who can completely "own" the delivery and maintenance of high value work products including: requirement gathering for new products/features, development and "smoke testing" of new products/features, and the support of new/existing products/features.
  • Interact directly with business/end-users and technical staff and be responsible for delivering complete work products.
  • Perform configuration & release management using Workbench, VSCode IDE, or Salesforce.com Change Sets.
  • Apply knowledge to ensure deliverables from multiple development work threads follow robust release management disciplines and procedures.
  • Maintain configuration documentation in our wiki knowledge base.
  • In addition to standard Salesforce.com implementation, our environment includes large complex custom solutions with Force.com, and integrations with other systems like Workday, as well as, custom solutions developed in .Net, SQL Server and Business Intelligence/Analytics tools. Our main org implementation supports over 600 internal and thousands of external portal/community users. The opportunity exists to grow into an enterprise-level technical architect.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of Salesforce.com experience, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a software development/information technology environment are required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile SDLCs, Object-Oriented Programming, and systems engineering principles is required.
  • Strong programming experience and knowledge of SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SFDC programming languages (SOQL, Apex, Visual Force, etc.) is required.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com development in a multi-tiered release environment, including hands-on configuration and release management experience is required.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com administration including: security principles (roles, profiles, permission sets, public groups, queues, sharing settings, sharing rules, etc.), business process automation (workflows, approval processes, process builder, and flows), reports & dashboards, and standard/custom objects/fields customization is required.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript libraries (ex. jQuery, Bootstrap, Google Maps, etc.) a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with Jira, Jira Confluence, Bitbucket and Git DVCS a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com Communities a plus, but not required.
  • Lightning Experience and Lightning Component development using either the Aura Framework or Lightning Web Components a plus, but not required.
  • Financial Services Industry experience is desirable, but not required.
  • Formal certifications like Salesforce.com Platform Developer I/II, Salesforce.com Certified Administrator/Advanced Administrator, etc. are preferable.
