Production Supervisor

Job Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for meeting the operational needs of the business, promoting and creating a safety culture, and ensuring production targets are met.

The Production Supervisor's essential functions include:

*Ensure all safety, quality, and productivity targets and expectations are met

*Communicate all safety, quality, and productivity goals and expectations to team

*Perform safety investigations, daily safety observations, and safety meetings

*Confer and coordinate with other department supervisors to ensure goals and objectives are met

*Ensure standard work is performed

*Coordinate training needs of department

*Process crew assignment, shift turnover, and timecards

*Call for overtime and maintain rotary board

*Administer the collective bargaining agreement

*Address personnel issues per contract and company policies; develop staff/personnel

*Provide daily measures for productivity and production costs

*Report on downtime causes during each shift

*Participate in identifying maintenance priorities, initiate corrective maintenance requests

Requirements

Education:
A four-year degree and a minimum of 3 years supervising production manufacturing, or a minimum of 5 years supervising production manufacturing.
