San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a

Full Time Quality and Risk Coordinator - to join our team!

San Joaquin Valley Rehab, located in Fresno, CA , is a 62 bed acute rehab hospital, providing rehabilitative services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. We help our patients regain their physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

The Quality and Risk Coordinator assists the Director of Quality and Risk Management to ensure continuous quality improvement and organizational excellence. Supports the quality function by promoting, adherence with all regulatory,
compliance, accreditation, and legal issues. Additionally promotes a safe environment for all employees, patients and visitors. Support Quality Management with reports of risk issues, and infection control

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of healthcare experience required

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

  • Ability to understand and demonstrate knowledge of quality management programs in the hospital industry.
  • Previous nursing and/or quality management experience preferred.
  • Associate's Degree and/or healthcare certification program preferred.
  • Understands the Joint Commission and/or CARF accreditation requirements and processes.
  • Ability to gather data and trends and assist with updating reports.
  • Possess organizational skills and demonstrated project management skills.
  • Ability to assist Director of Quality Management with leading diverse teams to a common purpose and
  • proactively assist the Quality Department with seeking new ideas and solutions to organizational
  • challenges.
  • Exemplary customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must be flexible and responsive to needs of Quality/Risk Management and possess ability to balance the
  • needs of multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Excellent problem solving and solution oriented skills.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
