RN Coordinator Patient Care - Surgical Services

Description Summary: Supervises nursing service activities in assigned care unit. Provides professional nursing care for patients in assigned care unit. Assesses, plans, evaluates, and documents the nursing process of assigned care unit as needed. The RN Coord Patient Care for Surgical Services is responsible and accountable for the identified area of expertise. Ensures availability and expected functionality for all required anticipated equipment, instrumentation, supplies and implants for respective specialty. Located just minutes from the shores of Padre Island, CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-South provides surgical and medical services for our patients in south Corpus Christi. Perfectly positioned to serve the rapidly-growing south side of Corpus Christi, CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - South is licensed for 158 beds. South offers a full range of medical and surgical services including pediatrics, obstetrics, skilled nursing, emergency, intensive care as well as advanced diagnostic and imaging. The hospital is also home to a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit which enables recovering mothers to remain close to their premature or special needs babies. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Minimum 2 years of experience in specified service line/department preferred. Current Texas State RN license CPR - (American Heart Association) ACLS - Within 6 months of hire/transfer date Work Type: Full Time
