Corporate Communications Proofreader

SUMMARY

The Corporate Communications proofreader will work with a global team of engineers and market experts to ensure Ansys' content marketing output is technically accurate, grammatically correct and brand compliant. Proofing will include web pages, magazine articles, press releases, slide decks, blog posts, case studies, white papers and more. The Corporate Communications proofreader will also maintain the Ansys corporate style guide.

RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Proofread corporate communications content to ensure it is accurate, grammatically correct and adheres to corporate style and brand guidelines
  • Fact check corporate communications content via internal and external research
  • Confirm submitted content is original
  • Ensure content meets prescribed tone and character count
  • Provide grammar and style guidance to outside writers and content creators in other departments
  • Shepherd content through internal approval channels
  • Update and maintain the Ansys corporate style guide
  • Post content to the Ansys website and brand portals


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications or related field with 2 years of proofreading experience OR a Bachelor's degree in a non-related field with a minimum of 4 years of proofreading experience
  • Strong grasp of AP Style
  • Familiarity with search engine optimization
  • Experience with MS Office online content management systems or other publishing tools
  • Excellent grammar and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Attention to detail
  • Interest in engineering technology


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Engineering or technical proofreading experience
