Finance Lead Consultant-Finance Strategic Consulting

Finance brings together enterprise functions that drive Wells Fargo's financial management, including accounting and control, financial planning and analysis, line of business finance, asset-liability management, treasury, tax management, and the company's investment portfolios. They also inform shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines.

Position responsibilities:

• Organize and/or lead strategic initiatives in COO finance to ensure accountability and delivery
• Create executive presentations for COO finance that are clear, concise, and actionable. Work across the team and partners to source content, hone key messages, outline next steps, ensure content is at the appropriate level for the audience 
• Manage and track deliverables across the team, keep group out ahead of due dates and review final product with leaders in advance of deadlines. Ensure final product is clear, concise, and actionable.
• Dive deep into business processes, using data and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement in cost and control. Work with partner facing teams to drive the business to implement improvements



Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting



Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
  • Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to turn findings into executable plans to meet business objectives
  • Experience developing integrated communications strategies and plans that align with business objectives
  • Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications
  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
  • Ability to influence executive decision-making and successfully negotiate critical issue resolution related to program initiatives



Other Desired Qualifications

• Strong analytic abilities - forming hypotheses, acquiring data to dimension the issue, analyzing data and drawing conclusions, formulating findings into actionable recommendations, and engaging with others to obtain buy-in, working with others to implement change
• Outstanding executive presentation development skills - can work autonomously to develop the story, source key information, write a clear and concise narrative, support recommended actions and drive outcomes
• Highly organized, outcome driven, strategic approach to driving results
• Depth of prior experience in strategic consulting, preferably in a large public consulting firm

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
